Director/Head of Property Management

Shaheen has extensive experience as a property executive across the private, public and NPO sectors. He has served as the Chief Director of Immovable Asset Management for the Western Cape Government’s R100bn-plus property portfolio, as well as the Property Executive for Communicare, Cape Town’s largest social housing institution, managing a portfolio of approximately 3500 tenants.

He now serves as a director on the Capitalgro board in addition to leading the property management operation. Working with a nimble and highly capable team of property professionals, he is positioning the organisation for future growth by fostering a culture of trust, accountability and high performance.

Shaheen holds a Bachelor of Business Science (B.Bus.Sc) degree, as well as a Master of Science (M.Sc) degree from the University of Cape Town (UCT), awarded with double academic scholarships. He also currently serves as a board member for the Peninsula School Feeding Association.

Property Management

Amber-Rose currently serves as a Property Manager at Capitalgro, where she is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and managing daily interactions with brokers, prospective tenants, and existing tenants. She began her journey with Capitalgro in October 2020 as a receptionist. Through consistent dedication and a strong willingness to learn, she quickly gained a comprehensive understanding of the business and progressed into the role of Junior Property Manager.

She has since been promoted to Property Manager, reflecting her commitment and continued growth within the company. In May 2024, Amber-Rose further strengthened her expertise by completing the University of Cape Town’s Property Management: Marketing, Contracts and Administration online short course. In her current role, Amber-Rose plays an integral part in overseeing  property-related matters.

She is particularly focused on ensuring tenant satisfaction and identifying premises that align seamlessly with clients’ business requirements.

Property Management

Nontando Manyongo holds a Bachelor of Administration Degree from the University of the Western Cape. She began her career as an Administrator for Old Mutual Finance in 2018.

Shortly after she left Old Mutual Finance she joined Capital Land Property Asset Management where she was appointed as a Tenant and Leasing Administrator and was later promoted to a Leasing Coordinator.

She joined Capitalgro Property Management on 1 March 2023 as a Leasing Administrator. Her core responsibilities include Drafting, Municipal and levy invoice processing, Billing, Commission and General Administration.

Finance Management

Yazeed joined Capitalgro’s Finance / Accounts team in 2019. His core responsibilities include Cash flow Management, Bank Reconciliations, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Facilities Management Assistance and Admin functions across the Capitalgro Group.

He has 9 years’ experience in the property industry prior to joining the company with previous involvement in property management and development projects. Holding a Degree in Cost & Management Accounting and having worked in various finance hubs, he has gained valuable knowledge and skillset to perform functions efficiently and effectively including assisting the broader team.

Facilities Management

Jurgen has been Capitalgro’s Facilities Manager since the beginning of 2022. He is responsible for the general maintenance, repairs, administration, project management of tenant installations, health and safety compliance, vendor contracts, and tenant interactions at all properties.

Jurgen has a wealth of experience in the facilities management field. He previously worked as a Quantity Surveyor for a large construction company for 13 years, and as an In-house Quantity Surveyor for a property developer for 3.5 years.
