Shaheen Adams
Head of Property Management
Shaheen has extensive experience as a property executive across the private, public and NPO sectors. He has served as the Chief Director of Immovable Asset Management for the Western Cape Government’s R100bn-plus property portfolio, as well as the Property Executive for Communicare, Cape Town’s largest social housing institution, managing a portfolio of approximately 3500 tenants.
He now serves as a director on the Capitalgro board in addition to leading the property management operation. Working with a nimble and highly capable team of property professionals, he is positioning the organisation for future growth by fostering a culture of trust, accountability and high performance.
Shaheen holds a Bachelor of Business Science (B.Bus.Sc) degree, as well as a Master of Science (M.Sc) degree from the University of Cape Town (UCT), awarded with double academic scholarships. He also currently serves as a board member for the Peninsula School Feeding Association.
Amber-Rose Bailey
Property Management
Amber-Rose, holds the position of Junior Property Manager at Capitalgro. Her key responsibilities encompass providing top-notch customer service, handling interactions with brokers, prospective tenants, and current tenants on a day-to-day basis. Amber-Rose’s journey with Capitalgro commenced in October 2020 when she joined as a receptionist. Through her dedication and determination, she familiarized herself with the ins and outs of the business and steadily climbed the ladder to her current role as Junior Property Manager. In her current capacity, Amber-Rose plays a pivotal role in all property-related matters. Her primary focus is ensuring the satisfaction of tenants and securing the ideal premises that perfectly align with their business needs.
Leizel Emkie
Property Management
Leizel Emkie has been Capitalgro’s Property Administrator since the start of 2023. She is responsible for managing, processing, and maintaining all information and documentation relating to the tenancies and revenue reporting. Leizel has been working in the property industry since 2012. She started her career at API Property Group, where she gained experience in all aspects of property administration. In 2018, she joined Fairvest Property Holdings, now Fairvest Limited, where she further developed her skills in revenue reporting and tenant management.
Nontando Manyongo
Property Management
Nontando Manyongo holds a Bachelor of Administration Degree from the University of the Western Cape. She began her career as an Administrator for Old Mutual Finance in 2018. Shortly after she left Old Mutual Finance she joined Capital Land Property Asset Management where she was appointed as a Tenant and Leasing Administrator and was later promoted to a Leasing Coordinator. She joined Capitalgro Property Management on 1 March 2023 as a Leasing Administrator. Her core responsibilities include Drafting, Municipal and levy invoice processing, Billing, Commission and General Administration.
Yazeed Omar
Finance Management
Yazeed joined Capitalgro’s Finance / Accounts team in 2019. His core responsibilities include Cash flow Management, Bank Reconciliations, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Facilities Management Assistance and Admin functions across the Capitalgro Group.
He has 9 years’ experience in the property industry prior to joining the company with previous involvement in property management and development projects. Holding a Degree in Cost & Management Accounting and having worked in various finance hubs, he has gained valuable knowledge and skillset to perform functions efficiently and effectively including assisting the broader team.
Rachel Ramsden
Finance Management
Rachel is Capitalgro’s financial controller and her role includes the financial planning and accounting aspects of property management, asset management and property investments. She first entered the property industry in 2008 and joined the CBS Property Group in 2009. In 2011 she was appointed to the role of Accounts Payable Manager in the properties division of the Public Investment Corporation. Rachel brought her skills and experience to Capitalgro in 2016.
Jurgen Bornman
Facilities Management
Jurgen has been Capitalgro’s Facilities Manager since the beginning of 2022. He is responsible for the general maintenance, repairs, administration, project management of tenant installations, health and safety compliance, vendor contracts, and tenant interactions at all properties.
Jurgen has a wealth of experience in the facilities management field. He previously worked as a Quantity Surveyor for a large construction company for 13 years, and as an In-house Quantity Surveyor for a property developer for 3.5 years.
Mustapha Peck
Facilities Management
With a career spanning from the mid-1990s, Mustapha brings extensive expertise in Facilities Management. He has completed two comprehensive courses at Afroteq Academy and honed his skills with five Management Modules from UNISA. His journey includes impactful roles at CBS Properties and The Public Investment Corporation, leading to his current pivotal position at Capitagro for the past seven years. Mustapha excels in overseeing Facilities Management operations. He adeptly navigates properties, conducts essential site meetings with contractors, and ensures flawless project execution. His focus on repairs, maintenance, unit inspections, and Occupational Health and Safety reports underscores his commitment to quality. Notably, Mustapha maintains a 24/7 standby for immediate maintenance intervention across all buildings. His ability to connect with tenants and contractors fosters effective issue resolution.
